Venkat (Prabhas) meets Shailaja (Trisha) on a train journey and they immediately get attracted to each other after dancing in a rain shower. Raja (Daebu Banerji) an orphan and Kajol (Nivedita Tiwari) from a rich family background are students at Dudley College in Mumbai.
