Kokki movie is all about Kokkisamy (Karan) who is a taciturn villager comes to Chennai. His foster father Subburaj (Malaysia Vasudean) who runs a salon takes care of Kokki. He helps get Kokki a job abroad. He comes across a local bigwig Upilliappan (Kotta Srinivasa Rao) who is a strong believer in astrology. One day Kokki comes to Uppili's house to hair dress one of his men. That day, Uppili wakes up and sees Kokki instead of the statue. Everything that he does that day works in his favor. The superstitious Uppili now wants to have Kokki around as a harbinger of good luck. But Kokki refuses and his life was not the same from there on. Uppili implicates Kokki in a false case and brands him as criminal. With a criminal record his dreams to go abroad collapse. Kokki manages to escape from jail and is on the run. He hides in a ladies hostel where he meets Raji (Pooja Ganghi), who decides to help him after hearing his story. The remaining story is all about Kokki escapes from prison and how he avenges Uppili.

The movie begins at Pachai Theevu, ruled by a mighty king (Narasimha Raju). His son and prince Jagathalapradhapan (Raja) is a valourous youth who sets out on a mission to capture pirates in the sea. He lands at Sangu Theevu, where the head of the sea pirates Alai Kallan lives. Jagathalapradhapan comes across Mohini (Namitha), who belong to the local fishermen community in the island. Romance blossom between them. Jagathalapradhapan manages to nab Alai Kallan and decides to return to his country. He promises Mohini that he would bring his parents to arrange for their wedding. However the King and his wife Mangayarkarasi (Yuvarani) arranges for their son's marriage with a princess Azhagu Nachiyar (Nila). Jagathalapradhapan tries hard to convince his parents that he would marry only Mohini. To put an end to the problem, the king and his wife hatch a conspiracy and bump off Mohini. Enters a cruel tantrik (Kota Sreenivasa Rao), who uses the feud between Jagathalapradhapan and Alai Kallan and plans to kill Jagathalapradhapan and thereby get the ultimate power to rule the world. But all his plans are altered when Mohini's spirit comes back to earth. Eventually it is a clash between the two - the fight between the good and evil."

The town is controlled by Sivalingam (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a rich and influential baddie and an aspiring politician. He indulges in all unlawful activities. Bhavani resolves to put an end to all his acts. Meanwhile there is one Surya (Sampath Raj), who voices against Sivalingam. As it happens, Sivalingam's son Ranjith (Aryan) plays spoilsport in the life of Bhavani's sister, Deepa (Yasmin Khan). Efforts to prove him guilty by Bhavani end in vain. Now a conspiracy is hatched by Bhavani in the company of Suriya and Ranjith gets killed. An enraged Sivalingam takes Bhavani head-on. Sivalingam vows vengeance and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.
