Living a poor life with his widowed mother, Shankar sells toys for a living, but is addicted to alcohol. Sapna (Sharmila Tagore), flying back to India from the USA is involved in an airplane engine "flameout". She loves poetry, in particular the work of a poet called Ujjwala. Unable to distinguish between the poet and the poetry, she sets out on a journey to meet the poet in a place called Phulwari. Sapna believes that Ujjwala is her dream man. Her wealthy father, worried by her distraction consults a psychiatrist who pronounces that Sapna needs treatment and must be sent to his clinic for an extended period of time. Running away from home, in a beautiful red MG TF (probably a 1954 model) she comes across Sunil (Shashi Kapoor) working on his Jeep (one of the early right-hand drive versions that Mahindras produced). A couple of accidents later they find themselves in a luxurious Mercedes Benz tour coach (possibly an O 321 H - with a rear engine) and their journey of exploration begins. Faced with obstacles, raised by greedy people who want to get the informant's reward announced by Sapna's father Randhir Singh Chauhan; and going through some comic as well as dangerous interludes the screen couple arrive at the climax on their way to Phulwari. Sunil is doing his best to escort Sapna to Phulwari. The plot is a lift from the highly rated comedy crime/thriller English Movie "Lucky Number Slevin". The plot has been indianized to make it relevant to Indian audiences. Everything else in the movie is similar except for the motive of the killings. There is no role for Bruce Willis Character in Laadam. The story begins with Kunjidhapadam (Aravindan) who comes from a small place to the city for an interview and he manages to find place to stay with his distant relative Subramanyam who is actually a defaulter on loans taken on interest. He is absconding but then leaves his key at a secret place. Kunjidhapadam takes the key and stays and he also manages to get a job. On the other hand, there is Angel (Charmy Kaur) who grows as an orphan and works with a mineral water company. She doesn't have a place to stay so she locates those houses without occupants and stays there for a night and gets going in the morning. One such instance gets her to Kunjidhapadam's house. All this apart, there are two dons Pavadai (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and Vembuli (Jayaprakash) who are out to kill each other and Vembuli is successful in killing Pavadai's son. So he vows to kill Vembuli's son by the 12th day ceremony of his son. A twist of fate occurs and Pavadai's goons mistake Kunjidhapadam to be Subrahmanyam and get him to take money. Kunjidhapadam gives an idea to kill Vembuli's son and he is given a 16 day deadline to kill else Pavadai threatens to kill him Vembuli come's to know of this and tries to kill Kunjidhapadam. But he comes alive. After that Kunjidhapadam again meets Angel and tries to get money from her to give it back to Pavadai which his distant relative Subramanyam has to give. At that time Pavadai realizes and confirms that Kunjidhapadam has to kill Vembulies son. He on the way back he mets the opposite gangsters and tries to escape from them. The gangsters get his files which contain his degree certificate. After that he meets Angel and returnes her money, which Pavadai returned with double of the amount and a gun. He meets Angel and both plan to stay in comedy actor Vadivelu's house. After that both follows a men working under Vembulie and went inside a restaurent where he managed to get information about Vembulie's son who is hidden in a moving air bus with lots of securities. And he is in search of the bus and founds. After that he tries to stop the bus and wants to talk with Vembulie's son. He tells all things happened with Pavadai and ask him to give him a job with security from Pavadai. But they plays a life game and ordered not to face again or else he will be killed. After that both went to a ministers house to stay at night and in morning they got caught and they managed to escape from the ministers gang. A police tries to escape them and he brings both to station and mistakenly he makes them to get married. And brought them to his house, because it is 100th marriage done in police station. In house first night has been arranged and at that time both Angel and Kunjidhapadam becomes closer and get good affectionate and both caught in love. Next day he tries to see Vembulie's son who is in a small boat and some of his gangsters were playing in beach and they throws him into the sea. He manages to swim and reaches the boat and asks for his degree certificates. They all played and tornes all his cerfificate and one of the guy from that gang asks him to send his Angel to him for prostitution. Now Kunjidhapadam got angry and kills all in boat and kills Vembulie's son too and brings the body in a small boat to beach where all gangsters were playing and kills all the mens in the gang. After that he brings the body to Vembulie's house and kidnapps Vembuli as well as Pavadai. And keeps both tied in a rock area and murders all. And again joins with Angel and starts back to Hydrabad and the film ends with got good job, they became parent for 2 children's and happy lived. more»

The film opens with a grim and bearded angry young man Guru (S. J. Surya) paying floral tributes to his former lover Priya (Sayali Bhagat) in a graveyard. In the flashback, their love story is told. Guru, a fashion designer falls head over heels for Priya an anchor working in Eagle TV's music channel. After initial hiccups, both fall in love and decide to get married. However things turn awry when the aggressive, almost maniacal channel owner JP (Rajiv Krishna) has a psychotic obsession for Priya, which turns into a dangerous game. He harasses her and on the eve of her wedding, kidnaps her, frames up Guru in a false case, puts her on virtual house arrest, brutally rapes and kills her! Due to his clout and money power, JP makes it look like a suicide. Back to the present, Guru with the help of his friend Reghu (Sasi) working in the channel meticulously plans for a year to take revenge. In a chilling and cold- blooded way, Guru tells JP on phone-"Bad Morning JP it is 10 am, you will be dead by 12'noon"! JP doesn't know who is speaking. Guru threaten JP to use his old friend's car and coming to koyambedu, JP calls his henchman Deva (Yugendran) to kill him but guru knowing this makes him get beaten by people, he come and save him and he also arranges incometax officers to arrest him for having blackmoney in car. He also threatened him that he would send him a video containing JP giving money to minister (John Amrithraj in his last role). JP identifies thst it is guru doing this work because Priya was killed in 14th feb so he is going to kill him. JP going to take revenge on him. Guru is working as pizza delivery boy, he catches him and beat him. Guru snatches chains and surrenders himself to police to escape from him. He tells to police about JP. Guru comes to JP and tells that JP's lover who was cheated by him has uploaded the rape of priya by him on YouTube. Guru ties JP and beats him and cries for death of priya but Deva beats Guru. JP breaks the two hands of Guru. Finally, in climax (taken from an English movie Shoot 'Em Up), when suryah is unable to hold a gun properly and shoot, he places bullets in between his fingers and gets his hand close to fire, by which he performs the action of a gun using his hand and he kills JP at sharply 12:00 P.M. more»
