Chinna (Sumanth) is born in jail to a mother who dies during childbirth. The Jailer (Chandra Mohan) feels sorry for Chinna and adopts him. He brings up Chinna along with his son, Sanjay (Rajiv Kanakala) and daughter. However the jailer's father hates Chinna since he was born to a prisoner. In a dramatic situation, Chinna kills the Jailer s brother and is put in jail. Upon release, the jailer and his family tell Chinna to stay away from them. So Chinna moves into a rough neighborhood that happens to be under the control of the local mafia there. He overpowers the mafia there eventually and becomes a protector for the people there. A clerk in the commissioner s office (Charmy) enters as a co-tenant in Chinna's house. Love sprouts between them. However, she mistakenly assumes that Chinna is a soft natured guy. She's unaware of his reputation in that locality nor of his murderous past. Their relationship breaks when she finally discovers the truth about Chinna. How do they get back together? Ballettan is the story of Athaniparampil Balachandran (Mohanlal) who is known for his service in the society. His father (Nedumudi Venu) is a retired postmaster. He lives with his wife Radhika (Devayani) and two children. Circumstances turn him into a debtor and he is arrested in a cheating case, but he manages to solve all those problems with his father's pension money. One day a stranger (Riyaz khan) comes to meet Balachandran. He introduces himself as Bhadran and asks his help for marrying his sister. Balachandran gets angry and this leads to violence in the house. His father asks him to leave the house. On the next day, while travelling in a bus, his father has a heart attack and is admitted to hospital. Later he calls Balachandran and reveals that he has another family. Balachandran, on hearing this shocking fact, stands shock stricken, unable to accept his father's words while his father suffers another heart attack which leads to his death. On his death bed he asks Balachandran to take care of his second family and also requests that his mother should never come to know about this. The story focuses on 5 friends Prabhu, Elango, Sundar, Indra and Priya at the Madras Institute of Technology, who want to remain friends throughout their lifespan and hope to join the same company after graduation. During a vacation, Elango goes home where he is forced to get married to his rustic cousin, Eshwari by his tough disciplinarian father. Once back to college he hides the fact about his marriage to his friends but later the marriage becomes public when relatives of Eshwari come to visit Elango. While their dream to work together becomes true, Elango alone gets a transfer to Bombay. The friends fight but later reunites back. Before Elango goes Bombay the friends force him to visit his wife and put him on a train. But Elango manages to get off the train and from there loses touch with his friends and family in the village. The friends part and 6 years later Prabu and Sundar come back to join Priya and Indra in Chennai. On the train journey back, Prabu meets Elango's wife Eashwari. Prabu falls in love with Eashwari without realizing who she is. Eventually he along with his friends finds out the truth about Eashwari, who is waiting with hopes of her husband to return. The four friends decided to help Eshwari find the whereabouts of Elango. One day Prabu finds out that Elango might be in Switzerland. Prabu decides to go to Switzerland. One fine day he finds Elango but to his shocks, Elango has a kid and is married to a Swiss woman. Meanwhile, in India Elango's dad committed suicide. Prabu goes back to India and there he comes to know that everyone knows about Elango's marriage. Eshwari decides to get married again and move on with life rather than thinking about Elango. Her village people decide to marry her off to one of her relatives but she threatens them telling them off that she would decide her own life and no one is going control her life anymore. Ugrasena Maharaja (Gummadi) is king of Malava, he has a daughter Rupa. According to astrologer's prediction, Rupa will marry an ordinary person. Ugrasena wants to change the gods wish and starts doing penance. King sends the wise people to bring the probable boy Chandrasena who is going to marry his daughter and order to kill him. Soldiers take the boy to the forest but due to the divine grace boy escapes death. The boy's mother Annapurna (Malathi) also reaches the forest both of them get shelter in a saint's Ashram. Years roll by, Chandrasena (N. T. Rama Rao) grows up with and qualifies in all fields. Ugrasena is in a happy feeling that he has killed the boy. One day grown up Rupa (Jayasri) goes to the forest for hunting where she meets Chandrasena and both love each other. Ugrasena announces sports competition in the capital where Chandrasena wins and king honors him. Rupa meets him in her palace and Chandrasena gets caught by soldiers. Chandrasena's mother pleads king to excuse his son but in vain. Ugrasena now realizes that Chandrasena is none other than the boy whom he thought died. Ugrasena orders to put Chandrasena in a cellar where demons are there. Chandrasena kills the demon and reaches Rupa. While they are escaping soldiers chase them and they enter into a deadly house from where no one will come back. Hence the soldiers return and inform the king about this. King announces that the person who brings his daughter back will get a huge sum of gold. Takku (Relangi) & Tikku (Ramana Reddy) start to bring princess after hearing the announcement. In that death house, Rupa is caught by an enchanter (Shobhan Babu) and takes her to their Queen Gandharva Rani (Mohana). She orders Chandrasena to bring the musical tree from Chambala Island ruled by wizard Kanakaksha (Mukkamala) to get back Rupa. After a lot of effort Chandrasena reaches the Island where Kanakaksha's daughter Champa (Girija) falls in love with Chandrasena. He gets her into his trap, achieves the musical tree and relives Rupa. Meanwhile, Kanakaksha makes Chandrasena as garland and takes him back. Rupa with no help is caught by Takku and Tikku. Kanakaksha orders Chandrasena to marry his daughter Champa but he denies. So, he keeps him in prison and starts torturing. Rupa somehow escapes from Takku & Tikku and goes back to death house sits on the musical tree and reaches Chamba Island. With Rupa's help, Chandrasena escapes from prison eliminates Kanakaksha and blasts the island. Both of them reach back to Malava kingdom when Ugrasena also understands that no one can change the fortune and agrees to their marriage. Finally, the movie ends with a happy on the marriage of Chandrasena & Rupa. more»
