The story focuses on 5 friends Prabhu, Elango, Sundar, Indra and Priya at the Madras Institute of Technology, who want to remain friends throughout their lifespan and hope to join the same company after graduation. During a vacation, Elango goes home where he is forced to get married to his rustic cousin, Eshwari by his tough disciplinarian father. Once back to college he hides the fact about his marriage to his friends but later the marriage becomes public when relatives of Eshwari come to visit Elango. While their dream to work together becomes true, Elango alone gets a transfer to Bombay. The friends fight but later reunites back. Before Elango goes Bombay the friends force him to visit his wife and put him on a train. But Elango manages to get off the train and from there loses touch with his friends and family in the village. The friends part and 6 years later Prabu and Sundar come back to join Priya and Indra in Chennai. On the train journey back, Prabu meets Elango's wife Eashwari. Prabu falls in love with Eashwari without realizing who she is. Eventually he along with his friends finds out the truth about Eashwari, who is waiting with hopes of her husband to return. The four friends decided to help Eshwari find the whereabouts of Elango. One day Prabu finds out that Elango might be in Switzerland. Prabu decides to go to Switzerland. One fine day he finds Elango but to his shocks, Elango has a kid and is married to a Swiss woman. Meanwhile, in India Elango's dad committed suicide. Prabu goes back to India and there he comes to know that everyone knows about Elango's marriage. Eshwari decides to get married again and move on with life rather than thinking about Elango. Her village people decide to marry her off to one of her relatives but she threatens them telling them off that she would decide her own life and no one is going control her life anymore. The story ends with all the 4 friends and their husbands and wife along with Eshwari enjoining day off at the beach. more»

June R, an orphan, was born in the month of June, for which she was named. She works in an advertising agency. One day she happens to come across a middle-aged woman hurt badly in an accident. Coming to Rajalakshmi (named by June) who happens to be Mrs. Raniammal, a widowed woman who strives to bring up her only son Arun whereas Arun smitten by his wife's words for the wealth and money of his mother, plans to send her away from his home to an orphanage in order to settle with his wife in New York City. Deeply hurt, Raniammal finds solace in June's company, who also longs for a motherly love since childhood. June decides to take Rajalakshmi to her house and calls her mom. Both togethercherish life who once were starved for love. Later her son comes back again to take his mother back, Rajalakshmi realising her son s evil thoughts refuses to get back to him. Later on Rajalakshmi's refusal he visits June and quarrels with her to give back his mother, June baffles with his sudden love for his mother. This implies an emotional entangle between the both meanwhile Rajalakshmi falls sick and June on seeing Raniammal's pathetic condition brings her brother whom she wanted to meet before she dies. On visiting Rajalakshmi's home town she unveils the mystery behind his sudden love for his mother. Now entrant Amudha a noted and leading lawyer aids June to get back her new mother legally, prostrating Arun's wicked thoughts in the court of law. At last the judgement favours June. Though June succeeds in her mission of getting back her mother, fate has something else stored for her and Rajalakshmi passes away in her illness. more»

Chander and Lata were childhood friends in Jahanabad, Lata being the daughter of a rich family whereas Chander was the son of a poor, widow mother. Lata's parents didn't like Renu being friends with Chander. Renu's family gets transferred to Bombay. At the time of departure, Renu gifts her watch to Chander as a memento. They grow up. Chander goes to Bombay to search Lata. Chander's rich friend Prakash opens a shop for Chander where Chander can earn his livelihood by repairing musical instruments. Prakash's mother doesn't like Prakash spending money on Chander. Lata has turned a writer, her work published under the nickname of "Renu" aka "Renuka Devi", Chander becomes a fan of her work. Basanti is Lata's friend. In one of her novels, Lata writes the story of Childhood friendship of Chander and Lata. Chander reads it and writes a letter to Renu (Lata) to find out how she knows of this story and if she knows Lata, then helping him to find Lata. Reading that letter, Basanti forces Lata to call Chander to meet plotting that Basanti will meet Chander as Lata. Basanti meets Chander there and falls in love with Chander. Chander was carrying the watch gifted by Lata to him all the time, that he looses when Basanti meets him and Basanti locates it. Seeing the watch, Lata recognizes it and recognizes Chander. Basanti feels hurt and blames Lata that she was knowing that Basanti was in love with Chander even then Lata didn't tell her that Chander is the same guy who Lata herself is in love with. Lata tells her that she herself was not aware. Lata's parents contact Prakash for marrying Lata. When Chander Comes to know of it, under the lifetime of obligations of Prakash, he lets go of his love. Chander's mother dies.
