Simbhu shares his name with two other people - one villain and one ex-cop turned thug. Simbhu's grandmother- Seema, has slayed five men, since they flouted her father's advices and distilled alcohol illegally in the village also involving in other shady activities. The villagers, for her noble act, consider her their head after her return from the prison. However, trouble crops up in the name of a police officer , Lal , whose ego is hurt when challenged by the fellow policeman's son that he can't find anything illicit in Simbhu's village, ruled by the godmother Seema. Lal tries - but to no avail - to nail somebody from the village for any charges and ends being thrashed up the villagers. Predictably, he returns with a vengeance and in the dirty war, burns Seema alive. Simbhu now seeks retribution for his loss. more»

Prabha (Aadhi) is the elder son of the family and he does nothing but spending all his time with his friends. He is chided by his father for that. The story begins with a pub dance where girls and boys enjoy themselves to the fullest in a much spoilt way which leads to Eve teasing and results in a girl's death. Sangayya (Samudrakani), the assistant commissioner of police, is forced to revoke the case because of Chezhiyan's (Vaibhav) (a rich, spoiled guy) influence. Chezhiyan with his father's Deiva Nayagam (A.L. Azhagappan), a leading politician, would bail them out even if he and his friends commit a murder. Vaibhav falls in love with a girl named Reshma, (Aparna) daughter of a businessman (largely inspired from Vijay Mallya). There are some political dramas that happens before the families agree to their marriage. Sangayya is been used in this political drama. He gets furious after learning this, but his hands are tied by the commissioner of police. When Chezhiyan is mysteriously kidnapped and beaten up by an unknown character, Sangayya starts an investigation. Sangayya solves the case and comes to know that a XI grade student named as Easan is responsible. Easan has a flash-back sequence where his sister Poorani (Abhinaya) is raped by Chezhiyan and his friend Vinoth in a birthday party. Easan's family, not being able to cope with the incident, commits mass suicide by drinking poisoned coffee. Easan survives since he only drinks a bit. He is rushed to the emergency where Poorani's friend Shyamala visits him and reveals who seduced his sister. Due to the strong affection he has for his sister, he decides to take revenge over the convicts. This is revealed to Sangayya by Easan himself, while Deiva Nayagam and his assistant arrive at the scene of investigation and find the dead Chezhiyan. Ravi (Prasanna) lands with a job in Trust Bank, Chennai, after he helps its CEO Vishwanath (S P Balasubrahmanyam), whose valuable documents are robbed from him when he is playing golf at a recreation club in Coimbatore. Ravi aspires to start his own business, but Vishwanath urges him to work for a while in his bank, gather experience and muster finance before venturing to start independent business. Meanwhile Ravi, who is in-charge of security system in the bank, develops a fool-proof method and urges Vishwanath to declare that his bank operations are safest in the world. Ravi comes across a journalist Nandhini (Ramya). He falls for her instantly after coming to know that she is a divorcee. When they spend a night in a sea shore, Ravi is attacked by a gang headed by Nandhini's ex-husband. But when he reaches his house, all troubles start. Fareed (Sibiraj), an outlaw informs Ravi that Nandhini's ex-hubby is killed by him and threatens him with photographs of Ravi bashing him at the beach. Fareed manages to make Ravi agree for a plan in order to save him from being arrested by the police for committing a murder. He hatches a conspiracy to rob the Trust bank and seeks Ravi's help.
